hkt83100
There is at least one of those cars in use, in this creamy beige color, run by a well know family in this country. But I did not get a glimpse of that car to date :-(
Rdrokit
That's one fast limo. The new models come standard with a 6 liter twin turbo V-12! 0-100kph in under 5 seconds.
Mousehound
Make a great taxi - even quicker ride in from swampy! Got close to one at the showroom in Siam Centre last January. Ugly looking brut of a car.

billd766
Another great fat gas guzzling monster for a very few people to show face or alternatively saying I don't about the hoi polloi. I am rich and I am showing it. And no I am not jealous at all, just amazed that anyone would actually want to buy one. What was the King saying about a sufficiency economy again? canopus1969
I was at the BKK motor show a couple of years ago when the first one was shown in Thailand. Because of my contacts I was allowed to sit in the back of it and "play" with all the switches. All I can say - after reclining to a near horizontal position and changing what the sky looks like - that it one heck of a car, absolutely crazy but wonderful. Now for the interesting bit : After getting out I had the nerve to ask the price and was told 'about 100m Baht' and before I could could say 'I 'll take it' was then told it had already been sold !! A_Traveller
For the price of these, you'd expect they would have a license place holder in the correct width for Thai plates My assumption would be this a grey import, since I can't imagine the company not providing a suitable moulding. This is, of course, often a give-away with Mercedes S' where the front plate moulding is clearly designed for the EU style [usually UK for RHD].Regards
madjbs
It doesn't have 2 letters on the number plate, which if it is a private car it should have. Perhaps it's an embassy car, or UN.

p_brownstone
Can you imagine the import tax for Thailand? I'm pretty sure that anyone who could afford this car in Thailand would have the ...... resources ....... to avoid petty annoyances such as Import Duty. khundon
Whoever bought it, the price on resale will drop like a stone the minute they drive it from the showroom. Will lose at least 1/3rd it's value in the first year. In Europe, Maybachs and other high priced cars are not selling and second hand prices are next to worthless. Nice car though, even if Simon Cowell has one.
INTJ
I was following this up North Pattaya road the other day, ugly looking thing. I guessed it was a Maybach due to the "M" badge - looks more like something the Chinese have cobbled together from the old Rover 75 parts bin Cheers
Rhodiebkk
Are the red plates a different number to what you finally get on the white ones? I'm not sure but perhaps they are. I'm sure the owner is retaining the Resd Plates for as long as possible, just to show he has a "new" car as no one will know what a Maybach is.
