Is it possible for a passenger arriving on a regular international flight at Bangkok and picking up a Thai Airways flight connecting to Krabi to clear customs at Krabi airport in the same way it's possible when traveling to Phuket through BKK? (I know about immigration, but wonder about customs only.)

No problem if you check throught to Krabi at origin. However, often origin airports do not know it's possible and refuse checking through
