Tv Discussion Show For The Bbc

Featured Replies

I've heard in the grapevine that a TV company 'Avalon TV' was looking for Thai-Falang marriages and to try and pathologies them.

Has anybody heard about a TV show for the BBC about 'men whose relationships with younger Thai women have broken down badly'

Does anybody know when it is going to be broadcast?

Did anybody on this forum go to the filming of it?

If so what was it like (the filming of it)?

Thanks

This sounds like yet-another documentary, fully up to the standards of objective-reporting, which we so often see when discussing farang-activities in Thailand, not ! :D

I look forward to the one on farang/farang relationship-breakdowns, especially if it involves conflict-resolution, in a mud-bath. :):D

Agree Ricardo.

Wish the BBC would ask me to make a programme about my nightmare of a first wife(English) and the happiness I have now found with my Thai wife.

I wouldn't find it objectionable for balance sake to talk about my six successful divorces in the USA.

They offered me 1000 pounds if they could come and film my family in Thailand then fly us back to the UK for more filming - I declined.

Some years ago i ran an agency,i was rung many times by the media to do fly on the wall documentaries about our agency and the "bad " marriages they were never interested in the dozens of good partnerships with a happy outcome as it didnt make good tv. we always declined and let others do them ,however the other agents reconed that their enquieries always went up after thet had been on the telly no matter how crap the programe was.
