I have relocated to a tiny province called Uthai Thani.

It is in the same part of Thailand as Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Suphan Buri .... One of those provinces that is considered as part of Central Thailand, but still quite far from Bangkok.

What friendly immigration offices do we have in the area ?

(I worry that I by misstake might go to an office that is notorious for being difficult.)

You will have to go to Nakhon Sawan immigration, you can't choose any more where you go but have to go to the office for your area. (unless you want to extend a tourist visa).

(I might go to Big C and buy farang stuff and eat Western junk food as well. We don't have things like that here in Utai.)
