Tt&t Website Down - "under Construction"

I've been living in Thailand for over 5 years now and have seen and came to grips some pretty amazing things, but once in a while something so bewildering comes along that one just wants to through arms up in the air in total incomprehension.

One of those just happened to me. I was researching IPTV services for my guest house in Rayong and came across a PR describing TT&Ts IPTV service. So, of course, i look up TT&T website to get more details. Imagine my total shock when the attached page came up.

This is the largest provincial telecomunications and internet company in Thailand. And somebody thought that taking the main site down for an unspecified amount of time was a good idea.

Just boggles my mind.

But speaking of IPTV. I would be curious to hear your experiences with any of the IPTV services.

Thanks in advance.

Euh, not at my place, didn't go down at all.

Might have something to do with that funny business between TT&T and Jasmine!

I know of three people (including myself) that were down yesterday. Maybe you are on a different Dslam?

When I finally called around midnight, they 1103 call center person advised "Cholburi server down." When I asked when it would be up again, she said "Tomorrow, after 8 o'clock." I slept in until 1000, and the connection was working again.

Whenever they say "Cholburi server down," I'm always skeptical. I secretly suspect they say anything just to get me off the line, and how can I verify if it's all of Cholburi, or just my connection that's down? And, yes, I've heard "Cholburi server down," at least a half-dozen times.

A telecom company should never ever take their website down. It shows their incompetence. But it's TT&T.

So far what I heard was that they are transferring the ownership of the company to a bank. Cannot verify whether this is true or not but Maxnet is no longer part of TT&T.
