April 21, 200521 yr I replied to a PM yesterday. The reply appears not to be saved in the sent items folder despite the reply being received. Is there some control I should be setting to ensure replies are saved?
April 21, 200521 yr Once you've typed your reply, you have to tick the checkbox (Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder) below the message window. I think you can also make this setting permanent if you go into "My controls". Penz

Although I am sure I had made this setting permenant when I first joined TV. Still it could have "fallen out" under forum updates.

I prefer this way as I do not reach my limit as quickly.

Especially when compared to the irritation of trying to remember exactly I what wrote and who I slandered, in an already sent PM. Edited April 22, 200521 yr by Thomas_Merton
April 22, 200521 yr Author I should have written: I've always considered the problem of cleaning up when a box becomes full, to be rather minor. Especially when compared to the irritation of trying to remember exactly what I had written and who I slandered, in an already sent PM.

Just in case....
April 23, 200521 yr I agree. Messages used to be saved by default. I checked my files and the last message I have saved was dated 25th Oct 2004. Since then nothing. Cannot see how to make it a default again.
