Last time I stayed over in Phetburi it was a disaster hotel. Yuck! But that was quite a while ago.

Anything in Phetburi, preferably in the city (although not necessarily) that is on the upside?

Rabiang Guest House - very friendly staff, great restaurant, basic rooms in need of refurbishment.

head to Chao Samran - its only 15 minutes from phet town and there is a good selection of hotels.
