April 23, 200521 yr Apply to Hull Thai Consulate for a Non Imm O based upon visiting family and friends...........you/ll get all the details off the Hull Thai Consulate web-site. Once your here and married you can look towards extending the visa a year at a time subject to meeting the requirements.

April 25, 200521 yr The Thai Consul in Hull is very efficient - I applied in person for a Non-Immigrant O visa and received it within 15 minutes of handing over my passport and all the other documentation required. Incidentally, I applied to the RAC for an International Driving Permit on Tuesday of last week. It came back in the post on Thursday. Alan

It came back in the post on Thursday. Alan <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Remember you're only supposed to drive on the IDP for the first 90 days in country. As soon as you start extending your stay at immigration, you're supposed to have a Thai licence... (although, as long as you take your UK licence, IDP, doctor's certificate and a letter from the embassy stating your address to the local driving licence place, you'll get the licence with just a colour blindness test
