mikecrab713
I am from the US and new to Thailand. I have purchased a business in Pattaya and received my Class "B" non imigrant business visa in the US. It is valid through September 2010. I have to make visa runs every 90 days. My question is: can I renew my class "B" in Thailand or am I required to return to my home country like you are for a class "O". I have not been able to find information for my class "B". Thanks
beechguy
If you exit and re-enter just before the visa expiration date, you would receive an additional 90 day stay. You don't have to return to the U.S. to apply for a new visa, but consulates in the region require that you have a work permit, or at least that you have applied for one. If your business qualifies, you could apply for a one year "Extension of Stay". Edited December 29, 2009 by beechguy
lopburi3
Be aware that the visa does not allow work - for that you must also obtain a work permit.
PoorSucker
KL will give you a 1 year non-B if you have at least 8 months validity on your WP. Other papers needed: Non-Immigrant Visa “B” - (business and work)
