Hi everyone,

I'm on a tourist visa that runs out on the 2nd of January, which means I can't go to immi for the 30 day extension until Monday the 4th. Shouldn't be a problem right, or will they say I shoulda done it earlier and make me pay for overstay?

Never went to the immi office with an overstay before, that's why I'm wondering...

Any info appreciated.

They aren't open on Thursday? Anyway, I've seen reports that they can be lenient and helpful, but wouldn't count on it. You could have done it earlier, they extend your current permission to stay, so you don't lose any days.

You should have gone this week sometime. Not sure if they are open today.

If you wait until 5th Jan you are at the mercy of the officer you deal with.

31/01 are always holidays in Thailand. I would not wait until day 5 - Monday the 4th is when he needs to appear.
