Lipstick !

Featured Replies

Good morning to all you ladies , Heres the story, Over the Christmas holidays , we had my wife`s sister`s little girl stay with us , she is 3 years old , and very astute , she opened my wife`s h/bag and discovered her make up and proceeded to apply lipstick to herself , got it all over her face and clothes and also all over our new bedding !! Does anybody know how we can remove this from the bedding , we have already washed the sheets , but to no avail, I thought perhaps someone might have one of those " household hints " that we could try to clean up this mess all sugestions welcome . thankyou , Mickylonster :)

saw this online, hope it helps -

Remove lipstick from fabric with denatured alcohol and dishwashing detergent. The alcohol will take care of the color pigments, and the dishwashing detergent will neutralize the oils.

not too sure it would work coz you had washed it first.

good luck

Sounds odd but I've heard spraying hairspray on it, really soaking it and the letting it sit for a few minutes before blotting works.

Try soap (an oil in it will help) I've tried with my bed sheets before...i got period and yeah blood!

If the alcohol doesn't work to get it out, I would say try "acetone". "Acetone" is fingernail polish remover, and is also used by us car guys to clean up paint. Just make sure the fabric you are using it is not synthetic--polyester, etc. because the acetone will eat through that.
