Stepmother Responds to Stepson's Public Accusations in Family Dispute
Picture courtesy of KhaoSod In a developing family dispute, 48-year-old Phattharaporn has come forward to counter claims made by her stepson, Phuwat, known as Joe, who recently appeared on television alleging she conspired against him. Joe accused Phattharaporn, her stepchildren, and the police of framing him with drugs to seize assets worth over a million baht and gold jewellery. Phattharaporn explained her involvement in managing the family's estate began at the request of Joe's ailing grandmother due to Joe's past incarceration and his youth. She claimed she sought to provide for Joe, even using funds from the sale of his father's car for his benefit. Despite these efforts, Joe faced a second imprisonment, whereupon his return, Phattharaporn facilitated a mortgage to support him financially, providing him with 3.5 million baht. Despite these financial aids, Joe resurfaced on television with accusations amid unsuccessful attempts to sell the family home due to high valuation. Phattharaporn suspects external influences might be stoking Joe's allegations, as he resumed friendly contact with her, even seeking assistance involving a missing gun. Phattharaporn voiced her perspective to remedy the portrayal of her as a scheming stepmother amidst proliferating public sympathy towards Joe. As tensions continue, allegations and doubts linger, casting a shadow over future resolutions in this familial saga, reported The Thaiger. -- 2025-04-08 -

British Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for 207-Day Visa Overstay
No, you'll stand in front of a judge, getting an either 3000 baht or 6000 baht fine (depending on if you have a valid passport). That's it. No 20k penalty. If you can't pay that 3/6000 baht fine, you will be jailed (not at the IDC) and your debt will be paid 200 baht a day, until you're done. You will then be transferred to IDC, for deportation. After you come up with your own ticket. There is a small additional fee for being driven to the airport though. That's it.
