Travel Agent In Phnom Penh Who Can Get Thai Visas?

Featured Replies

Some place, discussion went cold.

I'm interested in paying a travel agent/service in Phnom Penh to go get my 60 day Tourist Visa for Thailand, same as many others do quite legally. I'll be in Phnom Penh, just don't need the hassle and lines etc.. Naturally I'll fill out any forms but expect them to have them on hand.

Anyone have any experience with this? Recommendations and information about the normal fee?

Also curious if the American embassy in Phnom Penh adds pages to passports if someone reading this happens to know.

Thank you in advance. Nothing illegal about it as far as I know.

The US Embassy most surly can and does add pages to US passports.

The Thai Consulate in PP may not officially allow third parties to obtain visas from my understanding so there are not a lot of options. There are people around that use hole in the wall type facilities to obtain from reports but I would do myself to be sure what you get is what you want (there is always a chance of fake stamps from third parties - especially when it seems to be discouraged).

Governments do not add pages to passports.

The United States government office on Wireless road in Bangkok, across from the main embassy, adds pages to American passports FYI. It involves a wait, perhaps even two visits. I was asking about the American embassy in Cambodia because obviously less traffic and one would assume less of a wait etc.. I'll search it out other places if no reply here.

-- Additional visa pages to passports

If an American requires extra visa pages in their passport, they should come to the Embassy with their passport and the form DS-4085 (this form can also be obtained at the Embassy). Adding extra pages to a passport is completed the same day.

:)

1. As long as there is an American consulate, U.S. Expatriate Services or whatever they call themselves, a U.S. passport can have pages added to it by them. I'm sure the same is true in Phnom Penh.

2. I'm sure you can find "agents" there that will help you to get a Thai visa for a fee. You'll just have to look for them.

3. I wouldn't use them however. Do it yourself. A 60 day tourist visa for Thailand should be easy...and I believe it is still free of chrge until March 2010.

It will take at least 2 days...You fill the forms and leave your passport the morning of the first day, Come back the next day after noon, and pick up the visa. I don't think the "agent" will get it any faster. You will need photos for the visa.

4. So just take a two day trip to PP. get the visa and hang out in PP for the rest of the time. Have a beer or two and watch the Cambodians...try a little of their food, and get a good nights sleep there. Do the tourist thing.

:D

sounds dodgy to me :)

Phnom Penh is normally apply Day 1 and collect Day 3, unless you pay for sameday expess service.

Oh yes they do - including India - from where you have chosen your user name here.
