I notice that Air Asia has a lot of deals going on. They just posted one for flights next week. Is there a way of efficiently searching for which day/time is discounted? It seems you have to search each day manually for each city.

That is ok if the special only applies to a specific week of travel for a specific city, but sometimes they have a promotion that cover several months of travel to several cities. My travel dates are flexible so I usually wait for a special rate.

Any suggestions?

Yes is the answer.

I met a Thai guy who had a friend working for Air Asia. This Thai guy used to buy the really cheap flights for fun and only use some of them.

His friend from Air Asia would tell him when the flights were going on sale and he would be ready on his computer. The flights would always go on sale after midnight and the cheapest seats would be gone in a few hours. This guy had done this routine many times.

Have a look at this.

This link is very helpful. Thanks.

I always wondered why the deals would fill up after a few hours. I didn't think anyone could find them fast enough.

Now I just need to find a gossip site that knows when the specials will happen, so I can act fast :)

Just register with them!

I get e-mails telling me when they are having certain sales or promo"s regularly, too many in fact!

Does it indicate how long the promo's last? I think I read a post somewhere that said the specials start at midnight, but not sure when they end in general. Maybe one week?

Yes Travellife they normally do start at midnight and tend to last 3/4 days sometimes longer. It depends on how good that promo is and the customer take up on it?

I have had some great deals with them, and in general i like to use them for short haul around asia if possible.

Sometimes i have booked seats with them and not used them due to other commitments but at the prices on the promo deals it is not a lot to lose and it gives you the flexibility of booking a few tickets early, extremely cheaply!

Rather than paying inflated prices at the last minute, they are a great tool for visa runs and holidays i think.

Good luck!

If ALL airasia subscribers do not have the same email notification as this employees friend then some illegal practices are happening
