Minivans From Friendship Bridge To Airport Udon ?

Featured Replies

Are there any minivans from the Friendship Bridge at Nongkhai straight to the airport of Udon Thani ?

You'll be inundated by minivan drivers hustling for business (1) before you go across the bridge and (2) as soon as you've passed the Thai immigration checkpoint.

200 baht will be the price.

I usually get a van on the Laos side of the bridge. You may have to wait a while for them to fill up the van.

Can you get that in town at the Morning Market or do you have to wait till you get to the Lao check point.,

Coming from the airport, they are just outside.

Thought there was a bus that went direct from BKK to Vientiane.....

You can get a full size bus from the Talaat Sao bus station in VTE to the bus station in Udon for 80 baht (may be 90 nowadays)

Buses leave at 0800, 1030, 1130, 1400, 1600 + 1800. Takes 1.5 hours including immigration proceedures.

Then its a 7km tuk tuk ride to the terminal.
