60 Day Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Does anyone know if we can get the 60 day tourist visa at the airport in Bangkok on arrival, or is it better to get it before departure from SA?

Thanks

hi only 30 days at the airport and no visa you would be have a problem whit the air line the air line can refused you to boarding

What is your nationality?

A tourist visa you will have to get abroad from an embassy or consulate, at the airport you can only get a visa on arrival or visa exempt entry (if your nationality qualifies you).

Without a visa you will need proof of onward travel, otherwise the airline might refuse you to take you with them.

I am south african, but have a two month return ticket, so think the tourist visa is the best plan. Thanks so much for your help, also while i have you, if i were to get a job as a teacher while in thailand, is it quite easy to extend the visa with the help of the school? and can that visa be processed while i'm still in the country, or would i have to leave in order to actiavate it?

Moved to Visas.

it is possible to get a teaching job and get convert to a non-immigrant visa. Best bet might be to go to a neighboring country and get a non-B visa there with all the right paperwork. Ne need to get it in your home country.

Note that teaching work will be limited coming months, as most schools close early March and will not open/hire until April. This would limit your chances greatly to language schools only. For more information about teaching in Thailand I recommend you visit our teaching section.
