Types Of Ed

Featured Replies

What are the types of ED-Visas available?

I have had a ED-visa for studying the Thai language a couple of years ago.

What other ones are there?

There are not different types of non-ED visa. On the visa application form there is usually a field "Purpose of the trip" and this where you can indicate what you will be studying after your arrival in Thailand. The consulate may want to see a confirmation letter from the school where you have enrolled.

Sorry, let me rephrase my question:

How can I get an Education Visa other than studying Thai at a Thai school?

I tried to get an ed-visa for studying Muay thai before, but the school that was teaching wasn't registered with the Ministry of Education.

I've heard you can get an ED-visa by going to a scuba-diving school, and Muay thai schools that are registered with the Ministry of Education.

Just like to know other ways I could obtain an Ed-visa

You answered your own question. Attending a course at a school that is registered.

As long as the school is registered with the Ministry of Education you can get an ED visa.... it doesnt matter if they are teaching Thai, Scuba, Muay Thai or jumping up and down on one foot.... as long as they are registered with the Ministry of Education you are good to go.
