Carrefour - Horrible Food Quality

Featured Replies

I hate going to Tescos and only go if I am forced to.

I make a point of keeping my falang diet to a simple minimum. Jacket spuds and baked beans. I buy the spuds from a stall that makes trendy crisps. They sell them to me cheap. Baked beans are 22b a can.

I only go to Tops where the atmosphere is nice and not too many people. Every time I have had to go to Tesco there are about 3 cashiers (out of about 30 check outs ) and tons of sorry looking people queueing up leading back into the food aisles.

And I just can't bring myself to pay the inflated prices. I can eat Thai food no problem.

I do treat myself to cheese sometimes though.

Today i went to a market near my home, you wont see me going back to the carefour anymore. The fruits were superior there and so where the vegetables and mushrooms. I will however buy my meat at the carefour, it quite ok at the carefour where i shop.

where are the macro's located?

and get ur fresh produce from the fresh market, not the 'super'market. who get it from the fresh market a few days in advance - thats why it stinks. its decomposing.

Macro stores located all over Bangkok, not all are the same, the one I am going now is much better as the precedent.

Fresh fish as salmon, they have good frozen products blueberries / smoke salmon, but meats are not a buy for me.

I enjoy the shopping at Top for many products (central Pinklaow)

Fresh food market for duck fillet, fresh bone chicken, eggs, vegetable

I like Foodland as well

The places i do not like are Tesco / Carrefour / villa market

I just look at my Map Magic (ThinkNet), in Layers you have Makro.

I could not give you direction, i know where two is, could send you GPS next time i go, but could not remember streets name.

Makro have Site : http://www.siammakro.co.th/en/main.php

You have a drop window with all the locations

PS, i do not think the meat (chiken / pork) is any good in Makro, the one I go is very good for fresh fishes, they not all the same.

Cheers
