Dependents Of Pr Holders

Featured Replies

I m expecting to get thai permanent resident permit sometime soon. My mother is living here with me as a dependent to me for past 4 years on non Imm O visa. Could someone advice me what happens to her visa status once I get PR? How can I continue to get her visa?

When did you submit your application for Permanent Residence?

The consensus here on TV is that no PR's have been approved for a couple of years so in your situation I would not plan too far ahead by assuming it's a "done deal".

Many people have applied for a PR and been accepted by the Immigration police department however the interor ministery who has to approve those applications has not approved any PR sinds the last group in 2006.

I have a PR because I applied and recieved it a few years before, a friend applied in 2006 and was accepted by immigration department but he has been waiting ever sinds.

So unless you have new information my guess is your PR is not coming any time soon.

Read and post your questions about PR here:

Double postings here just make it harder for everybody to follow you.

As for the OP's question, the extensions of stay would be under section 2.19 instead of 2.20. The same rules apply, only 2.19 is for family members of a person who has PR and 2.20 for family members of a person who has a 1 year extension of stay.

The above post of Mario2008 is with reference to Police Order No. 777/2551.
