Usb Phones For Skype

Featured Replies

I have two USB phones that should work on Skype, but they do not.

One a Doro 2010 and the other a DA5030 @phone. The Doro came with

no software but did not perform any functions except the talk and hear functions.

The other handset was supplied with XP software and all it does is hear and talk on XP

and on Vista all it shows is one red indicator light and a row of 8888s.

Anyone know where one can get the latest software for these devices? I have done a Google search but it justs comes up with suppliers and no mention of software for the phones.

I have no problem with standard headphones and mike.

Forget that crap and get yourself a real headset from Logitech, Plantronics, Sennheiser, or even Creative.

Agreed.. Buy knock of cheap junk hardware and it works that way..

I have a D-Link USB thats fine, its a good size for what I need.

or get an iphone and install skype.

Thanks for the infomation, have junked the phones and use a $30 headphone /mike, and the reception and transmission of voice calls is excellent.

The phone were recomended for use on Skype, (and one cannot get a demonstration before purchase).

Currently using Vista.

seriously best way is using a headset.

No, use a DECT phone. Hands free and works as a regular phone as well. Philips 321 is what I use.

seriously best way is using a headset.
