Koh Chang & Koh Lanta - Are They Very Similar

Featured Replies

Just want to know whether in a holiday of 3 weeks it is worth it visiting both Koh Chang & Koh Lanta? Are the characteristics of both islands nearly the same? If so, I might have to choose one of them...Or the 2 islands have lots of differences between each other making it worthwile to visit both. But if you think it's worth it to visit both islands please let me know..thanks

In what they have to offer they are two different islands so it’s down to you as only you know what you’re looking for.

If its night-life, bars and ladies you want then go to koh chang if not then go to koh lanta.

BTW Koh Chang has much more to offer than it's girlie bars.

Check out the links for information.

OP: That depends, if you are in the region of these 2 islands anyway or not. If not, I would choose one of these and if you wanna explore more, there are plenty of options available to do that.

Koh Chang for instance is a good starting point to discover other islands of 52 in the Koh Chang archipelago, Koh Kood, Koh Maak...

But if you like a tropical change of scenery, I would do first Koh Chang (archipelago) and than Koh Tarutao in Satun.

thanks a lot for your replies guys...actually we decided to visit both but instead of 3 nights in Lanta we plan to spend 2 nights in Lnta and 3 in Krabi and so we can take 1 day tours on islands from Krabi. Re Koh Chang we're definitely going to spend at least 3 nights before we head to Pattaya.

thanks and all the best
