Thailand Internet Banking

I use Bank of Ayudhya and a friend has sent me money to pay his rent with no problems. Your problem is going to be the charged to transfer the money from your bank and whatever they charge here in Thailand. Some will say very low charges and some will say high. I don't know of any bank that will give you an accounting of what the charges are but there may be some on this forum who have more knowledge than I.

I can pay all kinds of bills with my bank including my credit cards but they are from my BOA accounts. I just use my bank account here to transfer money to my credit cards to pay them off or at least make a payment. Check with your bank for better info.

Bangkok Bank runs the same software as huge banks like JP Morgan Chase. Very easy to use. Very secure. Also 24x7 which is not true of most Thai banks. I would definitely recommend their iBanking product.

You can also use the Mobile iBanking product from overseas. It is secure, based on WAP2 (just like SSL). Not tied to the phone network of a particular telcom carrier like some Thai bank products (I will not say who).

You can pay bills, pay 3rd parties, they have One Time Passwords (OTP) to your cell phone for sensitive transactions like adding 3rd Party Payees. Very cool

Good luck.
