For a very busy and popular Hotel and Restaurant on the Eastern Seaboard we are looking for the following position(s) to be filled:

- Hotel and Restaurant Manager / Assistant Hotel and Restaurant Manager

Job description:

To manage and control unit and employees, delegate and follow up on work assignments to reach the highest standard and quality in service, manners, cleaning, food, beverage and rooms. With the highest possible profit, room occupancy and returning customers.

· Follow the policies, rules and regulations of Hotel & Restaurant Division

· Make sure the staff understands and follows the policies, rules and regualtions of Hotel & Restaurant Division.

· To strictly observe all safety practices as laid down by the company and statutory authorities

· Directly supervise and co-ordinate the activities in the restaurant and hotel rooms

· To take the hotel & restaurant bookings and ensure full and satisfactory service is given

· Deal with complaints and report, if necessary, to in-charge

· Control business operations from financial perspective

· Interview and hire staff after approval from in-charge

· Ensure that the restaurant area is always kept to the required standard of appearance as dictated by management, in accordance with company policies

· To promote, assist and encourage staff to further sales – up-selling

· To have full knowledge of all products such as menu, food, beverage, dessert, room rates etc.

· To take and/or ensure all customers orders and requirements are processed efficiently

· To strictly observe all safety and hygienic practices as laid down by the company and statutory authorities

· Give when required upon dishes, their accompaniments together with wines and other beverages

· Accept additional duties and responsibilities as required to effect the smooth running of the Department and/or hotel and may include, where appropriate:

o Supervision of functions

o Engage extra/part time staff

o Work a station

· Take other reasonable duties as dictated by management

· Make monthly inventory of all stock

· Train the staff in service and good manners, as well in the English language.

· Training and quality check up on cleaning. Make cleaning schedules and check sheets.

· Happenings, special events and holiday celebrations

· Create team spirit.

· Have short morning meetings and one weekly meeting, report minutes of meetings (weekly)

· Report different statistics, service charge report etc. Keep a record of leaves and send origin to Personnel

· Follow up on quality, training of staff, food, beverage, and rooms

· Make work instructions.

· To assist at different happenings and grand openings of projects, if and when needed.

· Attract the place to more customers by advertising and good marketing.

· Report to in-charge the progress of all the above on a weekly basis, written and verbal communication.

· Always deliver what you promise.

The candidate:

- Male/Female age 30 to 45 years old

- Both Thai and Foreigners are welcome to apply as we are an equal opportunity company

- Minimum Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or related field

- Fluency in English spoken and written. Any additional languages are a pre

- Minimum of 5 years (international) proven experience in a similar position required

- Excellent leadership skills

- Able to work unsupervised with high level of responsibility

- Excellent communication skills

- Pleasant and outgoing personality with no 9 - 5 mentality

- Able to train and provide hands-on guidance

- Cultural awareness

- Previous Thailand/Asia work exprerience a pre

- Sense of Humour
