Thailand-wide Road Map

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a clear and simple map that I propose to laminate and hang on a wall as an aid to make preliminary travel plans. Something that gives an idea of routes and relative distances. An indication of terrain, ie mountainous areas, would be helpful, as would other relevant details. But I don't need/want too much clutter because once I decide a trip and route I would use detailed maps that I will have with me.

Does anyone know of a map that fits my bill? Many thanks.

I found good maps in 7-11. Every mall has bookstores that have a good selection of maps.

Happy Traveling, and be careful out there...

B2S would probably be the best place to start looking.

:) The best what I found you get near 300 THB in many book shops and some 7eleven.

The map over Thailand from Thinknet included a very good map and CD ROM with many search possibilities.

Also from Thinknet you get in detail Bangkok (search even for many deatails as sSupermarkets, gasoline station and and and; Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Try it an enjoy

Can't beat the Michelin road map of Thailand, might be slightly bigger than the dimensions that you specked.

ISBN 2-06-100548-9, can't remember the price, had my copies for a few years now. Has everything you are looking for in a good clear layout.

Best regards

Maybe? but you haven't the CD-ROM which you could use in your Laptop. For whole Thailand best search functions.

Have to agree with challenger, Thinknet maps are the best IMO. For less than 300 baht you get pretty good printed map, plus the CD-ROM with the detailed maps to install on your PC. And you can print fairly detailed maps for your routes.

The CD will serve a different purpose. In the meantime I want to look at the Michelin - where did you find it, Mr Conrad?

Hi triffid,

Sorry, can't remember exactly where I purchased the map as I said I've had mine for a few years now. Should be available in any decent bookstore in Bangkok or any other major city in Thailand.

If that fails you could look for it online using the ISBN no I provided.

Best Regards

Mr Conrad
