Question Regarding Non Immi B - More Special Case

Featured Replies

This has been discussed in various flavors here, but my situation is rather specific, so I am posting hoping to get some details.

Is it possible to get a non immi B (would prefer multiple entry, but would settle for single entry) visa in Asia without WP? The mfa.go.th site lists an option 'for conducting business', which does not require a WP. Why is that so difficult to obtain in one of the neighboring countries? Unfortunately I cannot travel too far to a more lenient consulate, so I am wondering in what circumstance can this type of non immi B be obtained.

If I wanted a WP, the office of my company in BKK has less than 4 employees. It is a consulting company and my role is that of a regional consultant, but based in BKK at the moment, hired by, and paid by the UK HQ of the co. Would it be possible for me to get a WP in this case - I understand there is an exemption for consultancies to the 4 Thai employees requirement?

I would only need to be here for 6-9 months, possibly less, and ideally I would be able to travel to places like Laos, Vietnam, etc.

Any hints appreciated. Thank you!
