Don Mueang Airport Bangkok

hi there everyone, i just need some information about donmueang airport. is it open 24 hrs? am doing my visa run to laos this 24 of this month. and since am here in phuket have to travel to bangkok to meet up with the visa runner. and usually from laos we arrive bkk midnight. and am thinking of going straight to the airport(donmueang) once we arrive back in bkk to wait for my flight back here in phuket. does anyone knows if its open 24hrs and if has some place to hand around there.

any info u can give is me really appreciated. thank u

I suggest you check the flight schedule of Nok and I 2 Go. If they have fights pass midnight, the airport must be open. Anyway, the airport is quite big and if you really need to hang around, I am sure you can wait outside the building. Most resturants are closed from about 2200 though and the nearest hotel is almost 5km away .

There is a hotel next door to the airport, if it's still there, l have stayed there and has a bus service (couple of hundred yards) to the airport but can't remember the name.

The airport is only open as long as flights are operating. The Amari hotel is still there, and the area has a dozen other hotels too.

The terminal area is open all night but there are no services open.

thanks a lot for all the replies for my question. i was able to get the number of the airport (from this forum also). i call and the lady who answered me said that since theres an early flights (5 or 6?) the check-in opens at 2 AM. and she said i can stay there and no problem. since i will be arriving from laos past midnight, it will be ok.
