Could anyone suggest a nice hotel to stay in at Udon Thani.

We arrive on 9th April only need it for 1 or 2 nights it has to have a lift as we have a young child and getting his stuff up stairs could be a bit of a struggle.

Central if at all possible

Thanks in advance

May I advise you, for next postings, to put the place UT in the subject line ? Many people will not know you mean UT.

A good place is Charoengsi, centre of town.

I agree with this selection. Just stayed there 2 days for a wedding.

The locals and motorcycle 3 wheel taxis still know it as Charoengsri but it is now officially part of the Centara chain.

Bookings on the net will be under Centara.

The staff were all courteous, the rooms very comfortable. We loved the soft pillows and comfortable.

Apparently there is a club/bar facing the hotel that plays really loud music until early morning.

I read this on the net and another farang was changing his room to away from the noise when I was checking in.

Unless you like to rock late, ask for a room by the pool or in the back.

I think there are 14 floors to this hotel. I was on the 10th.

The morning breakfast was complete with Thai and Farang selections and you can have an omelette cooked to order.

Best rates are on the Net.
