Just to add to this post. Do I need to submit an Itinerary ? I read at http://www.vfs-uk-gh.com/supporting.aspx that you should only require the Itinerary if its a tourist visa rather than a visit visa.

What is the difference? On the VAF1 application form it states 'is the applicant visitng as a Tourist or visiting friends or other'.

Thanks

You do not have to put an Itinerary in , The main thing is to prove your girlfriend will go home,As long as you submit your approprate documents as you have shown on your post. it should be enough,

very important to state the obvious in the covering letter, though, do not assume that the ECO will wade through every document you submit and be able to draw conclusions that agree with the reality which you need to present

Firstly, as TVE says make sure your g/f meets the 'reason to return to Thailand' criteria.

You seem to have covered everything else.

On presentation, when your g/f takes everything to the VFS centre if all the paperwork is loose it tends to get jumbled up when the staff are checking everything making it more difficult for the ECO to find what he wants. For that reason I would clearly label then staple/bind each section individually so they can't get mixed up. It also makes it easy for the ECO to find and check everything.

In the past I have used a ring binder and transparent pocket separators to organise the various documents. Each separator is labelled appropriately, e.g. passport copies; finances; correspondence etc. Seems to work and you do get back the binder once the visa is, hopefully, approved.
