I will be going to China through Laos. I will be staying overnight to catch an early bus in Huay Xai.

Will I be able to pay for my 1 night guesthouse, basic food and bus ticket to the border with either US or Thai currencies?

Just one more question. The bus is scheduled to depart 8:30AM. Do they normally leave within 30 minutes past the official scheduled time?
