I just went outside to check my guages and noticed the hygrometer is sitting on 18%, alot dryer than its usual 80-90% plus. I moved my temprature guage to the hot side of the house and got a 43 degree celcius (109 Fahrenheit).

Its a tad cooler inside thankfully, although nearly hot enough to crank up the aircon.

Only 32C down here in Rayong, which feels like 40C.

Dew point 25C,

Relative humidity 67%,

Pressure 1009 hPa.

Southerly winds at 10 knots off the Gulf are a blessing on a day like this.

Where are you?

Just on the southern side of Bangers Sean. I was even tappy on the hygrometer thinking it may have gone on the blink, shouldnt tho, its good quality, i believe :)

I'm using a little panel icon on my Ubuntu desktop to get these figures, and just changed the location to Bangkok. You're not far off the readings my computer is returning for Bkk:

Temperature: 37.0C

Feels like: 33.9C (dry rather than humid as it is here)

Dew Point: 2.0C (that's very dry as far as I can guess - strange)

Rel. Humidity: 11% (dry, dry, dry)

Wind: Westerly @ 7.0 knots (no sea breeze up there - you're getting the hot air all the way from Myanmar)

Pressure: 1007.00 hPa (ominous? I've got no idea until I get something to relate that to)

Visibility: 9.0 km (very clear for Bangkok today - there are apparently no clouds in the sky which is quite rare, according to this across-the-'Net report)

---o0o---

Back here in Rayong, the wind is down to 8 kts, and we've just climbed another degree to 33C.

Feels like 41.7C,

Relative humidity has dropped from 67% to 63% so perhaps the wind is about to change from southerly to westerly as it is up your neck of the woods. Westerlies here would still be across the Gulf until they reach Sattahip, so that would have some sort of cooling effect I presume.

ND it's sodding hot up hre in Kan. I haven't checked the temp yet - but it feels like it must be close to the 40 mark. Two days ago it was 38, and that was under a sala with fans.

That's it for me now - I am heading to the pool and a cold beer. :D

Hi.

See attached photo, that was at 10:30 on the morning today. The sensor for the thermometer is in a corner of my balcony that is never reached by the sun, so this was actual shade temperature without any wind influence (but there was no wind either anyway).

I don't have a hygrometer so can't say anything about that.

Best regards.....

^Kewl, thanks for that, Thanh.

The one reason I bought all my own guages, well some guages anyway was because I hate hearing what the 'reported' temps for my area are when I know its dam_n well hotter or cooler, plus temprature varies everywhere you go.

Anyway, my little section of Thailand today was blooooody dry, which isnt the norm for one the the worlds most humid countries.

Just returned from Khon Kaen and Karasin.

Jesus!!

Hot hot hot.

I can not remember it was that hot up there at this time of the year.

I thought seriously yesterday that I would get a heat stroke.

Not kidding. I started to worry.

Wonder how warm it really was the last few days up there.

I'm up here in Loei province and it's drier than a popcorn fart. The humidly has come up to 19 percent. Kind of strange weather for March 5th.

In Khon Kaen today it was 42+!!...it was seriously dangerous to go out in that heat.

And it is so hot now,i think i few thunderstorms are forecast for the weekend/monday.

According to the sound of the traffic down on the street outside, it's not dry this morning. This certainly is a change of some kind, so I have examined the Ubuntu desktop weather chart just to clarify what it looks like down there outside my window, which is wet.

Current Conditions

City: Rayong

Last Upodate: Wed, Mar 10 / 00:30 <GMT>

Conditions: Rain Showers <this is the big clue>

Sky: Broken Clouds

Temperature: 27.0 °C

Feels Like: 30.6 °C

Dew Point: 26.0 °C

Rel. Humidity: 94% <Gosh that's undry>

Wind: North - NorthEast / 8.0 knots

Pressure: 1014.11 hPa

Visibility: 6.0 km

Sunrise: 23:24 <GMT>

Sunset: 11:23 <GMT>

It gets a little confusing this early in the morning with all this information before the first can of Birdy has gone down the throat, but I have a suspicion that it maybe raining in Rayong.

I've noticed the unusual dryness, though I don't have any instruments for measuring it. I also noticed that so far this year it's been much more windy than in previous ones, am I right?

Hi.

It has also been raining in Bangna about an hour ago. Stopped by now and the roads are dry again, the sky is overcast and the temperature 28 degrees.

Best regards.....

Its raining now in Chiang Mai which is a welcome relief after the last few days, it may help rid some of the polution also, added bonus :)

Here in Korat a pleasant 22.3 degrees with 44% humidity. Last night it got down to 18, but this is unseasonably cool. The last few days it's been around 40sh, but with low humidity. We really didn't have any winter this year.
