Hi, this is a genral question.

When you got your friends, colleagues etc at your back as a passenger, and when they fall down and injure t hemselves, whos gotta pay?

Also what happens when they actually die or get mamed?

I think if you caused the accident or as you put it for them to fall down, you gotta pay.if somebody else caused the accident they have gotta pay!

Irrespective of both outcomes if they are killed or maimed, you will not have any friends anymore. And you might go to jail.

You don't say how they fell off? .... is it through your driving or having an accident, or were they not holding on properly?

Theres also the "farang factor" to keep in mind: in Thailand, the experience of many ex-pats is that it's often immaterial who's actually at fault - the fact that they are a foreigner quickly stacks up against them unless they get their act together (meaning: make sure the embassy knows, don't sign anything, don't agree to anything, don't say anything and most important of all, get proper legal advise ultra-quick)

they fell off by not hanging on, or when the driver suddenly has to break/ sharp turn and the passenger falls off cracking their head...

so you got to have an embassy number, lawyer at your hands all the time? because i dont know them numbers from my top of head

Nobody's going to fall off if you brake sharply. They'll just fall into you; the one with the hands on the handlebars. Don't turn sharply when you have a pillion passenger. Accelerate very gently and ride slowly and gracefully. If that's unlikely to happen, then jump on the back let them ride. Then chances are the car that hits you will have to pay, but it depends on the chances of such things as mentioned above.
