I am getting an ED. Visa for my Burmese fiance and we have to leave Thailand to get the ED. visa so Vientiane is our best option from Chiang Mai. Does anyone know if she can get a visa at the border of Vientiane Laos or do I have to apply for one ahead of time in Bangkok ? I don't want to drive there and discover she can't just walk across like I can and I can't seem to find any information on the Lao gov. site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
