Trivia Question Of The Day - How Big Is A Hong?

I know about rai and ngan and talang wah etc. But the term 'hong' is used a lot in the Krabi region when describing land areas, and Google is NOT my friend on this question :)

Out of interest, is this term in common use in other areas of Thailand? I've only met with it in the Krabi region.

^ That'd be 'room' then, as in cave rooms.

Either way, I'm sure the OP can get it converted to standard Thai units. In the end the land office will do the transfer, and land papers still go in tarang wa and rai. So I don't really see the issue, other than when informally talking about land.
