Featured Replies

I'm currently staying in phuket town in a hotel thats air conditioned with cable tv,en suite, but without hot water for 400 baht a night

Any leads to finding similar hotel, facilities and price in patong???

You might try any of the smaller hotels on Soi Nanai in Patong, that's the road that runs parallel to the beach but is the furthest away from it, if you were prepared to do a longish deal, the owners may bite, but it will be tough I'm afraid.

The good news is the hotels only 400 baht the bad news is that its 1000 baht to get there by tuk tuk :):D:D Welcome to the mafia controlled Island of Phuket!!!!!

Try the dozens of GHs on soi banzaan, just behind jungceylon. They'll be dropping their prices soonish - should be able to get something decent for 500b, cheaper for long term.

Most I paid was 500 Baht. But then you could always take the bus. Yes Phuket has buses I guess their mafia aint as smart as ours.....

At present you can get a room with aircon etc for around 600 baht in Soi Banzaan.........rooms above the bar the "Sick Buffalo" for example. Probably others if you look. BUT don't forget Son Kran is on the way so prices will not necessarily come down yet.

By Thai standards 500 baht for a journey like this is incredibly expensive. compare this with a trip i went on from Bangkok to Pattaya in a taxi a 2 hour trip, 100 miles apprximately cost 900 baht................... you are still being ripped off at 500 baht.
