Crackdown On Illegal Massage Services

Featured Replies

Crackdown on illegal massage services kicks off this week

Starting Friday, the Metropolitan Police Bureau will strictly enforce laws and regulations governing massage parlours, traditional massage services and spas.

Teams of police inspectors will conduct unannounced checks of the establishments.

Enforcement will concentrate on four areas: illegal alien workers; prostitution; corrupt police officers allowing prostitution and illegal hiring; and strict screening of workers and updating of employment records.

The campaign to regulate massage services was initiated by and will be conducted under the direct supervision of Deputy Prime Minister Purachai Piumsombun.

Georgie...it is said that ole Purachai is the likely front runner to be the next Governor of Bangkok ( second half of 2004 ) That might get him out of harms way. He can become a tree hugger instead of trying out for sainthood. :o

P. goes so often for night-time inspection tours, first bars and now spas.

Hope he can be back in his office early and put in a full day's work without getting addicted to his night-outings.

Axel... do you figure that ole Purachai samples the stock at these places of delights ? :o If he doesn't, I wonder how he knows what's good and what's bad for we mere mortals :D

Absolutely Dr., he is a man for details. I do remember the condom in Phuket.

Now while he is doing his nightly rounds he might be able to replace BT in BKK-Post one day. Perhaps, he then can put forward some good advice for all of us.

Ooops, I did reply to this early this morning, while replacing the 'Pura' with

'Porno' my computer went off. What happened?

Purachai?! When did he come back?

A long time ago. First he came visiting last year a few times Sondhi Limthongkul and the PAD, the ThaiVisa favourites, and then he became after the coup a member of the NLA, was even one of the candidates for the speaker position.

Does that only imply falang visited massage parlours, or pure thai ones too ?

In any case, he's going to need an army to even make a dent in the dodgy massage parlour business.
