Got a flyer under the door today inviting everyone to come and be blessed by the tallest monk in Thailand.

Promoted as being 6 sok 9 inches tall which would make him anywhere between 9 foot 9 inches and 12 foot 9 inches tall depending on which definition of a sok you use. My dict gives a sok as anything between 18 to 24 inches. In metric that makes him between 3 mts and 3.88 mts. Much taller than the current world record holder Sultan Kosen at a mere 2.46 mts.

I wonder if they will let me measure him. :)

The taller the monk, the better the blessing??

id like to see that, dont see many tall ppl in thailand

I heard he was measured while lying down on his back :)

Maybe same one I saw in Tesco car park at Hang Dong in August, it was a stinking hot day and he had to sit in the back of the pick as he would not fit inside even though there was a spare seat.
