Pet Travel Cage

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever seen pet travel cages for larger dogs in Thailand. Or, alternatively, has anyone ever had one made?

Dont know about a cage, but for a great dane think you would need a big crate...LOL

That's hilarious. Where do you test you new material, at funerals?

I've travelled with a medium sized dog and had to check out all sorts of cages.

Rather doubt if there is a commercial one for a dog of that size. You might be able to make a crate suitable, or ask the airline about it. I know that sometimes they do have to ship livestock, so horses and cattle make it.

If you are making one big enough for a Great Dane, why not make it a bit bigger and then you could fit the whole family in as well, then he won't be lonely.

Lots of useful advise here I must say. You chaps ever thought about getting a job?

For future reference, there is a supplier in Bangkok called Shamu Shamu. You can google then or PM me for details.

You chaps ever thought about getting a job?

Got one thanks... :)

moving to pets...

yes there are travel crates even for great danes but im sure they will cost an arm and a leg;

i dont think u can make your own as airlines have strict criteria; why not try to contact breeders of large dogs (mastiffs etc) that go to shows, they probably have one u can rent/buy ...

im sure the ever helpful nienke might have a clue also, try pm'ing her....

also, since large dogs get bloat, u might want to check with vets if you are shipping your dane as the time they are in crate they pant a lot and are stressed out...
