Sheryl
In the pinned notice on urologists you will find recommendations on doctors, can email the respctive hospitals for cost quotes (in the case of Bumrungrad they also have a function on their website to give you costs for various procedures). Cost will depend on exact procedure and there are a variety of those If cost is an issue, as it sounds like, then your best bet is at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, There have been several threads on this forum on prostate surgery and one of them contains the name and deatils of a specific doctor. Please try a search function. If you can't find it let me know and I'll dig it up for you but will have to be on the weeksend as I am very busy at work in a remote rural area right now without regular interenet access. PMNL
Sripat special medical center has many urologists on their list. One of the most competent doctor who has been talked about in CNX forum is DR. Pannakit. The cost of surgery there is relative cheap compared to CNX RAM and BKK. For Biopsy~ 15000 Baht For TURP ~ 50000 baht For more adcanced technique cost more. Sheryl
OK found the Siriraj info, it is Dr. Sittiporn Srinualnad. UK board certified urologist and an Assoc. Professor at Mahidol. I think he also has private hours at Bumrungrad which might be easier for initial consultation, but doing the surgery at Siriraj would be vastly less expensive (albeit more language barrier etc). At Sripat top uro surgeon seems to be SUMITR ANUTRAKULCHAI, he's an Associate Professor at CMU. I would expect costs at Sripat and Siriraj to be about the same.
