Job Advice - Targetting Ngos

Hi all,

first post so hope it's in the correct forum...

My wife and I should be moving to Bangkok in July (3-4 months from now) for my work and will have Non-Immigrant B and O.

She wants to work and would like to move into the NGO sector. She has an International law degree (human rights specialisation) and a masters in edition/publishing which is the field she has been working in for the last 5 years. She managing publications for a large advertising agency and hopes to move into communications / publications project management either directly or in a number of steps.

We're trying to obtain contacts via friend and professional networks in our current town (Paris - hard life Paris then LOS... ) and have already started compiling a list and profile of NGOs based in Bangkok which we will aim to put on thaivisa once she's through the door. We'll start local networking once we've arrived.

Just hoping that people can advise if this is a good strategy or provide any support / contacts.
