Water Pressure In My House

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I was not sure where to post this, Farming, Plants, or Pattya local, so I chose the general area. Please Rimmer or Raro feel free to move where you see fit.

I have moved into a rental house. It has an underground water tank. The accomodation is upstairs on the level above the kitchen and storage/pump room. The problem is twofold.

One is the pump only picks up a little below halfway. It is not 1 small truck load to fill, so with the rest, I pour on the garden.

The second problem is the lack of pressure.

It has on pump in the room next to water tank on the ground level. The pump is a Fujika GFS225. Is this the correct one for this situation? Do I need another pump or do I need a new one?

Reason for edits is I found some spelling mistakes!

I am not sure I understood your first problem.

But I also had a problem with sufficient pressure in the upper floor, especially if a kid is taking a shower downstairs. And the valve went crazy and loud. I went from Fujika to Mitsubishi but no real improvement.

Finally I bought a really expensive pump, which came highly recommended by a friend engineer. It really cost a bit more than the Mitsu, but I never regretted this. I now have enough pressure, no matter how many taps are open, no valve going in a frenzy, and even short power cuts won't affect the pressure (for about 2 minutes).

The brand I bought is Grundfos and I can only recommend it, even the service is good.
