Wow I think you need to chill Mellow, I have been reading this hoping that you would respond to why you thing the Dems path to power is dubious. I think some of the other guys have argues fairly well why it isn't dubious, but the above irrational post with the name calling doesnt help your credibility much.

Animatic, yokaxxxx and jd you all DEFINE strawman. You constantly invoke The Thaksin bogeyman much the same way others resort to labeling their oppenents, Nazis in other arguments. You are the Thai equivalent of relentless violators of Godwin's Law.

Enjoy life in your intellectually stunted holes.

YOU are not interested in debate or argument, only stifling it and anyone who dares disagree with your BS.

I am not interested in engaging in gutter exchanges with your patheticness. Continue your groupthink, circular reasoning facisim BS w/o me.

PS You quack like ITG/real life cowards to me. Therefore you ARE Cowards.

You really do need to stop taking whatever it is you are taking.

In the PAD's claims, Thaksin is so fearsome that their own actions are justified. The ordinary people attending the rallies wear caps and shirts claiming they are "saving the country" and tell interviewers they are there because they want to protect the King. These noble aims justify extraordinary actions. Over recent weeks, Sondhi Limthongkul has used the words "civil war". The siege of Parliament was an attempt to overthrow the government by semi-constitutional means. This is not peaceful protest but violence justified in the name of a cause. As Sondhi explained, the PAD has recruited paid militia, mostly among former soldiers and policemen. Some notorious veterans of underground warfare have helped with training. Weapons seized from the PAD have ranged from guns to golf clubs. In the videos of 7 October, the PAD militia were armed with sticks, pipes, poles, handguns, slingshots and a variety of missiles including home-made grenades and raw sewage. This is un-civil war

Perhaps the saddest sight in all this is the Democrat Party. So many of their core constituents support the PAD that any dissent by the Democrats would be electoral suicide, but now they are hitched to the baggage train of a movement that claims the right to use violence and overrule law in order to overthrow an elected government. They are being dragged along at the back, shedding principles and scruples behind them like a litter of plastic bottles.

Do you have anything to say or are you just making noise?

Hmmm you still attempt to cast the Dems and the PAD as the same animal and that just flies in the face of both truth AND in the face of reason.

While Kasit remains as FM that spectre will always remain surely?

There will always be folks in government (in Thailand) on ALL sides that are objectionable. Kasit will likely be history before too long but he has a strong faction inside the Dems supporting him. It is worth note that he was one of the few Dems that was so outspoken. The same cannot be said about Jutaporn etc...

True.

Kasit for all his faults also didn't share the stage with people like Arisman or Sae Daeng. The PAD wasn't calling for armed insurrection. They never threatened to burn BKK down. They never threatened grenade attacks that then happened etc etc.

Again, the PAD were not saints and those that participated in violence need to have a day in court, but they never participated in the violent diatribes that the reds have.

Yep. Kasit should never have been given any role in this government. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Abhisit surely knows this and probably regrets making the decision (forced or otherwise) every day.

Why should the PAD called for armed insurrection? They (the Thailand equivalent of Lenin's "useful fools") and their backers already had effective control. What they objected to was the mainly rural majority's increasing political influence. They have served their backers purpose now and have been muzzled like a feral dog.

As to violence you are either very naive or spectacularly ignorant in believing this wasn't a weapon in the PAD armoury. Those young thugs weren't there for decoration purposes, nor was that PAD moron who blew himself up ferrying explosives around town.

As to Kasit I tend to agree. He's no criminal, merely a blowhard with shoddy judgement. But it's a disgrace he's FM.

Hmmm thar she blows! The great white whale! .... Nice to see that you can blame people for violence that not only didn't happen but wasn't even threatened while adding an absolute underlying cause to someone's death that certainly was never proven! Congrats!

Then again it seems easier for you to throw out false information than to tell the truth.
