We are going to Vientiene in Laos to get a double entry tourist visa. We are about to fill out the application and would like to ask, what is the right thing to write regarding duration of proposed stay in the application?

That´s great. But what is the right thing to write regarding duration of proposed stay in the application? :)

Wait tell you are there and put down when you thank you well return and when you thank you well leave Thailand.

It really does not matter but you can not stay longer than 60 days on a tourist visa so that is what I would put.
