Passports On Domestic Flights

Featured Replies

hi all!

do you need to show passports on domestic flights

and does it need to have 6 months left on it?

thanks in advance

If you are Flying In Thailand you do not need passports, But If You are Thai, you will need your I D card.

You will need to show an ID, but the passport doesn't have to be valid for at least 6 months.

Yes. or a Thai driver's license.

No.

Pretty well any official looking photo ID will do the trick. Thai DL, company ID, UK DL have all worked for me :)

cheers thanks for your help.

Same here, never have shown my passport on internal flights, just my Thai DL or University photo ID.

I thought that foreigners staying in Thailand were required to have always an ID while moving around in the country.

If you are a tourist than of course the only ID will be your passport

Checks on domestic flights are only verify that that person checking is the same as the one who booked the seat (this has nothing to do with immigration)

Correct! Cali Driving License. Never had a problem with it. Travel Domestic on TG once a month.
