If you've got the receipt, I might be interested...

(Know someone with a Sony where the harddrive went two weeks before the warranty ran out, so I'd definitely want the receipt if I need to take it in for repair...)

Sorry I do not have the reciept in bangkok with me i do however have the reciept in England and when I return there in 2 months I could send it to you.

Not much use I know for your peace of mind. never had a problem with the Toshiba 40GAH drives in this vaio. only time I had a problem with a sony vaio hard disk was when they used to use Fujitsu drives - but they seemed to have changed to hitachi travelstars and toshiba drives.
