Question About Visa And 90 Day Check In

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I've got a situation that perhaps some of you might be able to guide me on. I currently have a non immigrant B visa that was in conjunction with my work permit(from a teaching semester but the semester has since ended). It currently says I can stay in Thailand until April 19th under that. Tomorrow I will be heading to Cambodia then returning back to Thailand on the 12th. When I return to Thailand, would I need a re-entry permit or can I just be stamped in under a tourist visa? I'm currently heading back home to the US on the 20th of April anyways.

Additionally, with the 90 day check in for foreignors, my check in date is supposed to be April 8th. If I go to Cambodia then return on a tourist visa would I still need to do the check in stuff? Also, I know Monday the immigration office in BKK was shut down bc of red shirts then yesterday was closed for the holiday and I'm assuming reds are still seiging. Then I guess next week some of the days will be closed for Songkran holidays? Anyone have any ideas on how I should pursue?

If you really do have a Non Imm B Visa you do not have to report every 90 days.

You have to leave the country every 90 days.

If you have an Extension of stay you have to report every 90 days.

As you are leaving tomorrow 8th you would not need to do this.

When you return from Cambodia you will be given a 15 day Visa Exempt Stamp. Not a Visa.

This will be enough if you are leaving again on 20th.
