raro
Thai Garden Resort in North Pattaya Road has the largest pool for the general public in town. They collect some admission fee, not sure how much, though.

gk10002000
Two very nice ones. Soi Yume past Carre 4. Go down to Nantana Garden hotel (soi8) on that street I think. behind nantana. Nice quiet pool . Nice reclinging chairs, little umbrella thatch roof eating areas. Con Soi 4 I think. Mike's orchid, the one with purple colors. Has a vanishing edge pool. Very nice Just across the street is a nice one too that has a lot of shade. I did not use that one, but another poster found that when looking for Mike's orchid. The last time I went regularly (around Christmas & New Year 2010) a monthly pass cost me 2,000 baht (66 baht per day)!

As a result he got sucked off the floor of the pool and into the mechanical machinery which creates the 'whirlpool' effect. It was a tragic accident. His body was recovered sometime later, after the boy's Father insisted that the boy's body lay in the feed tube of the apparatus, but he was already drowned. I don't use it anymore as the current owner has tried to make it like a private club when it was originally built for the use of the local residents. They've made it look nice but it will only be a matter of time before they lose so much money and the next lot will take over - shame really as it used to get busy with the locals and was good fun with nice and cheap food & drink.
