Re-entry Or Renewal On Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

New to this forum.....I just have a simple maybe obvious question/......

I have a double entry Tourist visa, expires 25th April. I haven't used either entry, just been in Thailand for 2 months. So, I want to cross border into Burma to get a new tourist visa instead of paying 1700 baht for 30 days...but if I do a border run before 25th april, will it only count as one of my entries, instead of giving me a new 30 day visa? I'm unclear about that.....Any help is appreciated.

Thanks....

So far as I know, if you don't need a 30 days extension (1.900), you just have to cross the board to activate the 2nd visa for further 60 days.

If you're here on a tourist visa, you've already used your first entry. As rroland said, leave and return prior to the 25th and they'll give you another 60 days.

Just prior to that entry ending, you can extend for 30 days at immigration for 1900฿.

That is most welcome news - thank you both!
