I've got a friend I want to come see me in Phuket, and I know she needs a letter of invitation in order to leave the country. Can someone please either tell me everything that needs to be included or a sample of one? Also, is the letter supposed to be addressed to her or to the embassy? Any help with this situation is much appreciated...

I suspect your talking about a girl from (The Philippians?) visiting you in Thailand and getting out of that country without being with you? If not please explain so people can provide proper advise.

They make you an affidavit which cost ca. 1000 THB usual they say it need 24 hours but if you come from far, it is possible to get it between 1 hour and add. ca. 100 THB. I dit 2 times, last in November 2009.

This affidavit your girl should never give to any Phil Immigration officer, only a copy ...... and in case only show the original because it is unlimited valid (for more 1 trip).

We was talking last week about, even she have a invitation confirmed by the Phil Embassy in BKK it can be happen a corrupt immigration officer try get a bribe. She shall stay hard and ask for the boss or an other immigration officer - keep fast in hand the original -!!! Good luck
