Wall Street Never Learns It Seems

Interesting article on discrimation against women on Wall Street.

Wall Street Women

When told that in the firm’s last round of annual promotions announced in November, only 19 percent of the 272 newly named managing directors were women. Morón, the spokeswoman, asked me what the breakdown of males and females on the list had to do with my article about discrimination on Wall Street -- which starts to give you an idea of how bad the problem really is.
Hazan-Amir made the mistake of complaining to the manager of her group about a male co-worker, Dale Vander Woude, who referred to her, in front of colleagues, as someone who “likes to blow,” as she describes it in the complaint. She says she got this concerned response from the global manager: “That’s Dale.” Sometimes those boys just can’t help being boys

Interesting article and well worth the read. Especially the part about pregnant women being harassed by co workers, or sexual comments. And before all the men jump in with their comments I'd like them to do one important thing, ask yourselves, What would you do if it were your wife or daughter in this situation? Would you appreciate it if some male co worker told her she liked to blow? Would you appreciate it if someone mooed at your pregnant wife at work?
