Internet Stopped

Featured Replies

I live in Huay Yai, south of Pattaya. For the past two years, I've used a Solomon EDGE usb modem, DTAC, and a Toshiba laptop with Vista. The internet connection varies in speed but worked. Yesterday if just stopped. I was on the net and then nothing worked...I logged off and tried to establish a new connection. The modem recognized DTAC but not EDGE...It refuse to connect.

After six hours of trying to connect, my wife called DTAC...they said their system was working fine...We tried some tricks and no dice.

This morning, it worked

Has anyone had such a problem?

Also, If I bought another modem that claims faster speeds such as a Novatel Merlin or a Sierra881...would my internet connections be faster and more stable.

Anyway thanks...Craig

It's possible the local cell you are connected to failed. Happens every so often.

You won't get faster speeds through another card, just make sure your current modem is using the latest firmware...
